Telephone modems are designed for duplex data transmission over 2-/4- wired physical lines, switched and dedicated channels formed by various communication systems, in the standard, tonal or supratonal frequency range. The AnCom ST wired modem is used in industrial automation, telemechanics and AIIS KUE systems.

AnCom P-1 protection devices are designed to protect AnCom ST series modems from damage by high-voltage voltage pulses arising in communication lines under the influence of lightning discharges and leads from power lines and power cables, as well as from the flow of high currents when the supply voltage directly hits the communication line.
